Privacy Policy — Version 1.0

Effective date: August 14, 2026

1. What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy describes how Clarity Companion, operated by Dwaine Taylor, dba BoostLink Associates, LLC, handles the information you provide when you create an account and use the application.

Clarity Companion is a guided conversation tool for thinking through difficult situations using biblical principles. It is not therapy, professional counseling, legal, medical, financial, or emergency services.

2. Information you provide

Account information: your email address and password, handled by our authentication service provider.

Age eligibility: account holders must be 18 or older. A date of birth you enter for verification is evaluated and then discarded; only the outcome of the check and the time it happened are stored.

Policy acceptance: the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy versions you accepted and when. No device, location or browsing details are stored with that record.

Case information: the title, category, conversation, summaries, principles, Scriptures, action plan and Prayer Notes you create in each Case.

Optional information: clarity ratings, survey answers, follow-up check-in answers, testimonials you choose to submit, and requests for human help.

3. We do not sell your information

Clarity Companion does not sell your personal information or your Case content.

Your private Case conversations are not distributed, rented, or disclosed to third parties for advertising, marketing, or those parties' independent commercial purposes.

Clarity Companion does not run advertising, marketing pixels, or third-party analytics or tracking services. It does keep its own simple, first-party usage counts, described in the section on usage measurement below.

4. AI processing of your Case conversation

Your Case conversation is stored with your account so you can return to it. To produce each reply and to generate your Action Plan, the stored conversation history for that Case is sent to the AI service that operates the guided conversation. This means the full stored conversation history for a Case may be resent to the AI service as context each time the conversation continues.

The AI service is an operational service provider. It processes this content so the application can function, not for advertising or marketing.

Prayer Notes are deliberately excluded. They are stored for you, but they are never included in what is sent to the AI service.

Please do not enter passwords, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or unnecessary identifying information about yourself or other people.

5. Service providers

Clarity Companion relies on service providers for hosting, the application platform, the database and authentication, the AI service, and email delivery for registration and security messages.

These providers operate their own infrastructure. Their internal logging, retention, telemetry and network records — including any records of internet addresses — are controlled by them and cannot be independently verified from this application's code. This policy therefore makes no promises about those provider practices.

6. Administrative access

Ordinary application access to your private Case conversations, summaries, action plans and Prayer Notes is limited to your own signed-in account. The application's access rules do not give an administrator a way to read another user's Case conversations or Prayer Notes through the application.

An administrator can see certain other information you submit: survey and feedback answers, follow-up check-in answers, testimonials you submit, account records such as age-verification and policy-acceptance status, and requests for human help.

Administrative reporting is designed to avoid identifying you: activity reports show pseudonymous user and case numbers with status and last-activity times, not names, email addresses, Case titles or Case content.

As with any hosted service, the operator holds administrative credentials to the underlying platform. This policy does not claim that stored information is technically inaccessible; it describes how the application is built and how the operator uses it.

7. Testimonials

Submitting a testimonial is optional and separate from everything else. Your Case conversation is never turned into a testimonial.

Permission to publish is a separate, explicit choice. An administrator may correct spelling, grammar or length; if an edit would materially change your meaning, the testimonial returns for renewed review before publication.

Choosing anonymous publication means no name is displayed publicly. It does not mean the testimonial is anonymous internally: the stored testimonial remains associated with your account and, where applicable, the related Case, and can be reviewed by an administrator.

8. Browser storage and similar technologies

Your signed-in session is kept in your browser's local storage by the authentication service so you stay signed in.

Clarity Companion also stores small local preferences in your browser, such as your light or dark theme choice and convenience flags for notices you have already seen. These local flags are conveniences only: policy acceptance is determined by the server-side record on your account, not by anything stored in your browser.

No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used by Clarity Companion.

A first-party cookie holding a randomly generated visitor number is used for the usage measurement described in the next section. It contains no name, email address, or other personal detail.

8A. First-party usage measurement

Clarity Companion measures its own usage so the operator can tell whether the application is genuinely helping people. This measurement is first-party and aggregate: it produces counts, not profiles.

What is recorded for a visit: a randomly generated visitor number stored in your browser, the time of the visit, the page path you landed on, and the host name of the website that referred you (for example "example.org"). Full web addresses, query strings, internet addresses, and device fingerprints are not stored for measurement.

If you arrive through a shared link that carries a registered source or campaign code, that code is recorded so the operator can see which outreach efforts reach people. Unrecognised codes are discarded and the visit is counted as "Direct / unknown". If you later create an account or start a Case, that source and campaign are associated with the account and the Case so results can be reported by source.

No Case content is used for measurement. Case titles, conversation text, summaries, principles, Scriptures, Action Plans, Prayer Notes, people involved, and desired outcomes are never copied into usage measures. Whether a Case was "meaningful" is calculated only from how many messages were exchanged and whether each was yours or the assistant's — the text itself is never examined.

No third-party analytics service, advertising identifier, or marketing pixel is used, and no measurement data is sold or shared for advertising.

Reporting is aggregate and administrator-only. Anonymous visit records are kept for a limited retention period (by default about 400 days) and then deleted. If you delete your account, the measurement associations tied to your account are deleted and any visitor record is detached, leaving only anonymous counts.

9. Giving and payments

Giving is voluntary, and Clarity Companion is available on the same basis whether or not you give.

Payments are handled entirely by the independent payment provider or network you choose. Clarity Companion never requests or stores card numbers, bank credentials, private cryptocurrency keys, or seed phrases.

Clarity Companion does not maintain an internal database of completed payment transactions: it stores no amounts, transaction identifiers, or payer identities. Whether you gave, and how much, is not recorded in the application and is never connected to your Case content or sent to the AI service.

The payment provider you use handles your payment information under its own terms and privacy policy.

10. Email

Clarity Companion sends only account and security email, such as address confirmation and password reset messages. It does not send marketing email, and follow-up check-ins appear inside the application rather than by email.

11. Your choices and deletion

You can delete an individual Case, which permanently removes that Case and its related records.

You can delete your account. This permanently removes your account and the information stored with it, including your Cases and conversations, feedback and follow-up records, testimonials, help requests, and your profile record with its age-verification and policy-acceptance fields.

Deletion within the application cannot reach copies that service providers may hold in their own backups or logs for their own retention periods.

12. Security

Clarity Companion uses account-scoped access rules, encrypted connections, and server-side checks for sensitive operations.

No online service can promise absolute confidentiality or absolute security, and this policy does not make that promise.

13. Children

Accounts are for adults 18 or older. Clarity Companion is not intended for use by minors, and minors may not create accounts.

An adult account holder may use Clarity Companion to think through a situation that involves a minor, subject to the Terms of Use and the safeguards built into the application.

14. Changes to this policy

This is Privacy Policy Version 1.0. If a future change is material, the version will change and you will be asked to acknowledge the new version before continuing with a Case.
